J. LESLIE ROLLINS STADIUM AND PETERSON FIELDJ. Leslie Rollins Stadium

J. Leslie Rollins Stadium and Peterson Field are home to BVU's football, soccer and track & field teams.

The 3,000-seat facility stadium is named for James Leslie Rollins. Rollins was the star halfback on the 1925 football squad, was chosen as a Second and Third Team All-Conference team member and also played forward on the 1926 Iowa Conference Championship basketball team for Buena Vista.

Peterson field was named for Board of Trustee Cordell Peterson, Class of 1963, who made a 1.1 million dollar lead gift for renovations in 2011.

The facility features a synthetic turf playing surface, a blue polyurethane track and four 100-foot poles with lights that can provide 75 foot-candles of broadcast-standard illumination.

SOCCER COMPLEXBVU Athletic Complex

The BVU Athletic Complex is located west of Vestal Street past 9th Street, five blocks from campus. This complex first hosted soccer matches in the fall of 2002 and has two championship soccer fields, a concession stand, and football practice fields.

Despite the addition of synthetic field turf and additional upgrades to Peterson Field in the spring of 2011 which has moved the games primarily inside of J. Leslie Rollins Stadium, this complex is still used for practices and as a secondary playing source when needed.
